“More than 1,000 people have been arrested in a crackdown on human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Ciudad Juarez, officials in Mexico say.”

As some of you know, I was in Juarez a few years ago helping build a house for the needy. Since then Juarez has become so dangerous many house building teams have stopped going down there to help. Here's a news video about mission trip safety to Juarez.

I still pray for them down there but sometimes it feels so hopeless. I told some of you how my Casas Por Cristo bracelet from the trip broke just earlier this year… I can't describe how it felt when I read this news article. It's like there's a glimmer of hope… Sometimes the cynicism just takes you over… and with the recent Norway shooting… -cynicism is not the right word… maybe despair is the word I am looking for… it's definitely not apathy… more like helplessness… I'm not sure… the worst part is that my previous blog entry was about how Harry Potter could have been done better… what nonsense is my life made up of? Forgive me father… and thank you for the work you are still doing in Juarez.

Let it load fully before watching…
