medaccess software has limitations
Scanning was simpler
Tagging is more intuitive with medcloud
Task list is big problem
Intimately linked with docs. Too much clicking. Triples time to get through docs.

pharmacies will be up and running in 2 weeks in edmonton and calgary

users aren't aware of web page ui conventions
remove right-clicks/context-menus
remove double-clicks
need context-oriented ui
proper user feedback when waiting for server to respond (change how things are loaded if necessary)
dialog boxes that require more than a yes or no response confuses the user

manager sets who goes on the schedule staff list. by default, nurses/doctors.
there's not enough horizontal space to fit schedules for all doctors.
creating new patient records is not streamlined.
users are confused about where to go to get more information about patient after opening up patient information/demographics dialog.
use cases
find next available time slot for doctor (something other than weekView)
find available time slot in some given month
add patient with only the necessary information
automatically add note on patient to check Health Care Card
view patient's file (that includes everything)
includes:

soap notes (gray out by default. always hide details for MOA)

uploaded documents go into “uploaded list”
documents in “uploaded list” are sorted by upload*time and grouped by days with proper group labels.
documents should be “tagged”, not assigned
selecting a document should display all tagging information and document itself
documents tagged with a doctor automatically show up in doctor's task list
documents retagged with a different doctor need to have the task flagged as “no longer needed” or something similar

messages are sent to users with specific roles (Nurses, Reception, Administrative)
messaging system is more of a message board or task list (messages can be set as private. messages sent to specific users are automatically private)
view patient chart
need surgical history in addition to social/family/medical history
need to be similar to “Print Patient” feature (data for past visits is at the bottom)
rethink inclusion of dollar amount in billing area
edit soap notes in patient chart
get rid of soap locking/unlocking; replace with edit/save and log all transactions
write prescriptions
rethink the idea of medication list
use check boxes to refill active medications
