So i am going to redo my website (again)… I am going to design my own dokuwiki template… from scratch… I just need a good idea… I was thinking maybe a retro theme… or paper scratches theme… or maybe a “One Piece” anime theme… or board game theme… dunno yet…

Web Designer Wall has posted their best of 2008. They also have this cool example of a CSS menu.

I am building a photoscript (yes another one) based off of jquery galleria and my old photoscripts that do the auto directory parsing and comments etc… should be nifty when it's done. And yes I did just say nifty.

Also found this cool little utility called quickPHP which is a little executable that you can run so you can test your php code locally. Just make sure you block it with your firewall so that you don't turn your computer into a webhost! :)

So I accepted the nomination to be deacon… and since there are only 2 of us running on the english side, it will be by acclaimation. It's a little concerning that the chinese side will be by acclaimation as well this time. They have 5 but in the past there has always been a competition on the chinese side. On the chinese side, it used to seem like it was an honour to get nominated and to run for position. Now it seems like it is just like the english side. Infer what you wish.

This Sunday night is the CCCBPA banquet so things are a bit crazy for me right now… I am trying to finish a web project by Christmas too so that'll be a challenge. Building websites for people is always so easy but trying to collect content from them always takes forever…

Enough about ministry… what's new with me? hmmm… I am fully settled in our new building by the university. Besides the parking, I am liking it more than our old work location. The drive for me is consistently short… so far. Back when we were in westwinds, sometimes there would be traffic jams on McKnight even in non-rush hour times.

I'd like to write about something else, but it seems like life is currently about work and ministry… hopefully I will be able to plan a boardgame night over the Christmas break. :) So many people have asked me to plan it… we'll see if it's all talk or if people actually want to play. :P :)
